Living and working in New York City is a photographer’s dream. Sometimes I have to remind myself that this is truly my life! We are so lucky to have some incredible monuments, parks, museums, and just the city streets at our disposal for sessions. I’m constantly finding new inspiration in the beautiful city around me. One of my favorite parts of planning engagement sessions with my clients is when we decide where to do their portraits. With such an amazing city in the palm of our hands, the list can be quite long!

One of my favorite spots to go to is definitely the New York Public Library! The building itself is just gorgeous and perfect for any city-loving couple. And for all of those Sex and the City fans, it’s where Carrie will be getting married! For those of us who live in New York City, the Public Library is an icon. The arches and columns of the New York Public Library really lend itself to romantic portraits with a city chic flair. It’s the perfect spot for the classy engagement session you’re dreaming of right in the heart of NYC! Definitely one of the reasons this spot is high on my list for engagement portraits!!!
