Engagement Portraits for Music Lovers in Central Park
Dan and Travus are our close friends and we couldn’t be more excited for them to get married! They got engaged in Central Park, so when it came time to plan their engagement session, it seemed like the perfect location for their portraits. I’m so excited to be sharing these portraits with you because planning a session that truly reflected Dan and Travus - and their love of NYC - was an honor.
Their Love Story
Dan and Travus shared some of their engagement story with me and I’m thrilled to share it with you! “On a beautiful June day at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park (one of Travus's favorite spots in NYC), Dan sat down with Travus on a bench overlooking the lake and proposed. Travus then reciprocated, presenting Dan a ring by the Kensington Garden pond in Hyde Park in London in August in an attempt to match locales across the Atlantic Ocean.”
We kicked off their engagement session at the Bethesda Fountain and Bethesda Terrace inside Central Park. They’re two of the most iconic settings - and most well-known. Dan and Travus popped open some champagne and celebrated their next chapter as they snuggled up, laughing and dreaming about their NYC wedding day. I love this area in the park, because we can capture a variety of iconic locations in just a few moments.
Since Dan and Travus are music lovers, it was important to incorporate some of their favorite spots in Central Park in their portraits, like the Naumburg Bandshell. It’s such an elegant and classic backdrop for portraits in the city. We walked together along the literary walk towards Lincoln Center to end their session. They love going to concerts and Broadway shows, so this other iconic NYC landmark was homage to their favorite way to enjoy the arts.
Thank you for sharing your favorite parts of the city with me, Dan and Travus. I feel so lucky to know you and witness your love!
