Hoboken Engagement Session with a Classic Car
Alma and Scott’s Hoboken engagement session was a dream! I worked with Haydee Duarte of Blush and White Design House to help bring Alma and Scott’s vision of a luxurious and classic engagement session to life. From the start, this couple knew they wanted to create a session in Hoboken, which is where they live. It was important to them to document that part of their love story. When they mentioned they’d be renting a classic Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, I couldn’t wait to finish planning and start photographing them!
On the day of Alma and Scott’s engagement session, we met up at Carpe Diem to capture them with the car on Hoboken’s classic cobblestone streets. Alma arrived in the most beautiful white dress with fun feather shoulder accents and Scott looked dapper in a grey and blue suit. This particular spot, along Frank Sinatra Drive in Hoboken, was perfect for our portraits - a nice clean background that felt timeless. Getting to play around with this beautiful car was so much fun. Alma and Scott were naturals, posing inside and around the car.
After spending some time in the Benz, Alma, Scott and I drove to Maxwell Park so we could capture some incredible views of the Manhattan skyline. It was important to Alma and Scott to capture views of Midtown and Hudson Yards, especially since they love Midtown. Those views were more meaningful to them! When we plan engagement sessions, I want to know what’s going to mean the most to you - a certain view, a particular location, or even an activity to include. We ended the session with photos of Alma and Scott and Ahsoka, their pup.
